History Haq Do Tehreek
After the martyrdom of Nawab Akbar Bugti, human rights violations in the name of security continued in Balochistan for decades. Disappearances, mutilated bodies, intimidation of political workers, curbs on political activities, humiliation of women and elderly at check posts, raids on houses in the name of security and picking up people without any crime had become routine. That is, an atmosphere of self-imposed fear was created in Balochistan so that no one could raise their voice for their rights. During this time, whoever tried to raise his voice was threatened and silenced.
In these circumstances, the people of Balochistan were very despaired and were looking for a leader who could raise their voice for them and free them from this atmosphere of fear. Fed up with similar circumstances, a people's leader from Sarbandan, a village near Gwadar, decided to change the situation.
On August 19, 2021, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch staged a four-day sit-in for the rights of the people at Surbandan Cross on the Coastal Highway in Gwadar. And despite all the threats, they did not even comply with their demands. Maulana's stand and bravery in this sit-in greatly impressed the people of Gwadar and people found the leader in the form of Maulana whom they had been looking for for a long time.
After this brief sit-in, the people and youth of Gwadar met Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch and persuaded him to launch a mass movement for the restoration of the rights of the people in Gwadar so that the people could be freed from this self-imposed fear. On which Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch supported the launch of a people's movement and this movement started from here.
Initially, the movement was named ‘Haq Do Gwadar Ko’ movement. And at the beginning of this movement, a public awareness campaign was started and corner meetings were held in different areas of Gwadar and people were prepared for a big Jalsa.
On September 30, 2021, a huge public Jalsa was held at Shuhada-eJiwani Chowk in Gwadar, which was the largest gathering in the history of Gwadar, in which thousands of people participated. In this Jalsa, demands based on the abolition of check posts, abolition of trawlers mafia, free border trade, return of vehicles and boats captured by coast guard, ban on liquor stores and other basic rights of the people were presented. In this historic Jalsa, the government was given a month's time to implement these demands. And then, after a public press conference on October 31, the next course of action was announced.
On November 15, 2021, a grand sit-in was started at Port Road (now Shaheed Lala Hameed Chowk) Gwadar due to non-implementation of demands despite the passage of one and a half months. This historic sitin lasted for 32 days. On the fourth day of the sit-in, on November 18, a shroud-clad (Kafan Posh) rally was taken out in which thousands of people participated. People from different schools of thought participated in this sit-in and expressed their views.

During the sit-in, on the advice of Haq Do Movement leader Waja Hussain Wadela, the name of this movement was changed to 'Haq Do Tehreek Balochistan' so that the people of all Balochistan could be represented. During this time many government representatives and ministers came for talks but could not succeed.
On December 10, 2021, a men's rally was held in which a flood of people from different areas came out. The participation of thousands of people in this rally exposed the truth of the so-called development claims. This rally of thousands of people shocked the world media including Pakistan. In this rally, thousands of people expressed their confidence in the Haq Do Tehreek.
This rally forced the government to hold serious talks with Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch to implement his people's demands. So on December 15, many ministers and senior officials, including the Chief Minister of Balochistan, reached Gwadar.
The sit-in ended after 32 days on December 16, 2021, after successful talks with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and an agreement signed to implement the demands.
After this sit-in, the focus was on the organizational structure and public activities of the Haq Do Tehreek. During this time many corner meetings and unit formations were held.
When the sit-in agreement was not implemented even after three months and the trawlers and border mafias continued to misbehave, then at a public press conference in March 2022 announced a sit-in in front of the gate of Gwadar Port and a motorcycle rally was also announced a day before that.

Finally, on the third day of the sit-in, a senior government delegation met and ended the sit-in after further assurances and agreements.
In the local body elections held on May 29, 2022, Haq Do Tehreek won 90 percent in Gwadar city. Apart from this, the Haq Do Tehreek also achieved exemplary success in other cities and villages of the district, which is proof that the majority of Gwadar district trusts the Haq Do Tehreek.
Even after the port sit-in, the demands of the Haq Do movement did not seem to be implemented. Due to which there was continuous anger among the activists of Haq Do Tehreek and common people. Repeated assurances, press conferences, public meetings tried to raise their voice to the authorities regarding the demands, which proved futile. The provincial government did not show any seriousness on the issue.
When the demands were not implemented despite all efforts, another sit-in was announced for the same. For which another historic motorcycle rally was taken out on October 20, 2022 to show public power.
Once again on October 27, 2022, the Haq Do Tehreek held another sit-in in support of their demands at Shaheed Lala Hameed Chowk in which thousands of people participated. Which lasted for two months.

When the government did not miss the sit-in for two months and despite all the struggle and protest, finally on December 21, the way to Gwadar Port was closed by staging a sit-in on the expressway. Three days later, Provincial Interior Minister Zia Longo came and tried to negotiate, but he had nothing but promises, due to which these talks continued. The interior minister promised to come the next day for further talks, but the next day the forces came instead of the home minister.
On December 26, 2022, in the dark of night, there was historic state violence on the innocent people of Gwadar who were struggling peacefully democratically, in which a large number of people including hundreds of women, children and elderly people were tortured.
After December 26, the next ten days passed as doomsday for the people of Gwadar. During this period, houses were raided by state forces, the worst shelling and baton-charge took place, hundreds of cases were instituted and hundreds of activists were imprisoned. Many officials, including Waja Hussain Wadila, central chairman of Haq Do Tehreek Balochistan, were transferred to Quetta Crime Branch. All the councillors of haq do tehreek were booked and their houses were raided in the dark of night and women and children were tortured the worst. In a few months, most of the activists and officials of Haq Do Movement were released on bail, but Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman was not granted bail. After the rejection of bail in the Sessions Court Gwadar, the bail was also rejected in the Balochistan High Court. Because there was a lot of pressure from the government and the establishment, no Bail should be given in any way. He was finally granted bail by the Supreme Court four-and-a-half months later.
On March 9, thousands of people took out a grand rally in Gwadar city for maulana's release.
